Early Learning in Speers Point
Great Beginnings Speers Point is a brand new purpose built early learning centre equipped with the latest resources for young children in a natural indoor and outdoor environment. We focus on nurturing children’s sense of self-discovery and potential through engaging play-based curriculums. Our curriculums include interesting programs in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Our centre also offers:
- Exciting, natural play spaces designed for exploration and relationship building
- Integrate technologies into children’s play & learning experiences
- Inspiring play-based learning environments for young children
- Preschool and transition to school program
- Healthy seasonal meals prepared by our on-site cook

What is your favourite part of working at the centre? My favourite part of joining the Speers Point team is the opportunity to develop trusting relationships with children, families, educators and the community.
What qualifications do you hold? Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
What are you most passionate about?
My passion is to develop a cohesive, inspired and knowledgeable team that respects each other and the children and families of this service. By doing, this a team can achieve the best possible outcomes for children. I am dedicated to ensuring that children have the best start in life. This is achieved by children being surrounded by adults who are knowledgeable about child development, are compassionate and respectful to their emotional development, are passionate and excited about lifelong learning and who strive for quality engagement.
What values are most important to you in your team members?
Educators who have a genuine respect for children and a thorough understanding of child development.
What is your philosophy about educating children?
I believe children are capable and competent learners who bring their own knowledge, culture and skills to our service.
Embracing and encouraging children’s current knowledge, culture and skills provides an environment where children feel valued for who they are. This develops a strong sense of identity and the confidence to initiate and direct their own learning.
By providing opportunities for children to develop a sense of agency and independence we, as educators are preparing children for success as lifelong learners.
