Welcome to Great Beginnings Northam.
Our beautiful education facility is open from 6:30am – 6:30pm, 5 days a week. We encourage healthy eating within our centre; we also provide morning and afternoon tea.
All our staff have or are studying Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services. We also have a Bachelor qualified Teacher in our Kindy room.
We aim to provide the highest level of care and education for your child in a warm, nurturing and safe environment. By creating a feeling of acceptance and sense of belonging, we provide an environment which enables each child to feel safe and secure. We are very community minded, being rural and we offer after school pick up from most primary schools in town. Our centre is a multicultural community in which our qualified educators work hard (and have lots of fun) educating and nurturing each child.
We would love to welcome you and your family to our centre.

Reviews and Testimonials
“I would like to say I’m very happy with my experience with Great Beginnings Northam; I’ve been sending my two girls for over two years now and I’m about to send my little boy. I enjoy dropping and picking my children up and getting greeted with big smiles from staff as well as the children. The staff are very approachable as I am happy to speak to the ladies regarding anything, and they are always supportive. I would like to thank all the lovely ladies at Great Beginnings for all your great work with my children. I notice how much they have improved since being in Daycare. I love the connection they have with each and every one of you; I cannot wait for my little man to join you all.”
“When I arrived in Northam last year I was skeptical about you guys as my last daycare had become like family. I want to thank you for taking such great care of my kids. I know that they are safe and well loved with you all and for that I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have transitioned James from 1 to 2 days since my daughter has started Kindy and it was such a great idea encouraged by Kirsty. Everyday James would get hysterical and it would be so hard on both of us.
Since going up to 2 days 10 weeks ago, he has calmed down and is really starting to come out of his shell and this morning he didn’t even say good bye he was so happy to go play with his friends. I have started to say goodbye to him outside because I know I won’t get hugs from him once he’s inside. I love that the girls will give him the love and affection he requires if he is ever upset. Thanks ladies for loving my kids and giving me peace of mind about leaving them with you all. And thanks Kirsty for encouraging the 2 days because it’s made leaving him so much easier. Ever grateful.”
“I love that when I walk into the centre, I am greeted with warm, smiling and friendly faces. The educators always make time to have a chat about my child’s day at the centre. My child is always happy to go to the centre and has a strong bond with the educators. As a Mum, I feel very comfortable leaving her there for the day because I know her needs will be met and she will have a fantastic day building lasting memories and learning new things through education play.”
“Great staff, friendly environment and the kids love it there; it’s a home away from home. Never a thought enters my mind about the safety of my children while they are at the centre. Nothing is ever too hard and the staff are always willing to help with any concerns we may have. We as working parents also love the fact that while our children are at the centre they are getting the much needed social interaction and exposure to the different types of cultures and back grounds whilst most importantly learning, combined with fun activities that prepare them for school.
It’s made my decision to return to work an easy one fully knowing my kids are happy and content with the friendly and nurturing environment the staff create at the centre, I really couldn’t speak more highly of Great Beginnings Northam and the people that make it so.”
“I love it (hairdresser) because it’s convenient while I’m at work, as I work full time. It’s difficult to find time during the week days for me and I don’t want to do it on a Saturday, as I personally feel that weekends are for family time.”
