I began my journey in the early learning sector in 2012. Throughout my career, I have held various roles, including Educational Leader, where I guided quality practice and programming. My passion is to create a rich learning environment that fosters fun and the development of children’s interests, abilities, and strengths. Educators play a crucial role in offering children opportunities to develop life skills, face age-appropriate challenges, and make decisions about their learning journey. I strive to ensure every child is respected and valued as an individual in our community.

The early years (birth to five) are foundational for social and emotional development. Attending a dedicated early learning environment provides children with the stepping stones to build their identity, resilience, and independence before formal schooling. We aim to give all children a sense of agency and belonging.

Our team at Golden Bay is hand-picked for their passion, experience, and knowledge. We are dedicated educators committed to instilling a lifelong love of learning in children. Our families are always welcome. We have an orientation process to support new families in settling into care. We distribute a monthly event calendar and maintain regular, transparent communication to keep you informed. We welcome your feedback, questions, and concerns and are here to help.

I recognise the crucial role the early years play in a child’s learning and development. I value the importance of play, social interactions, and relationships in supporting children as they develop knowledge, skills, and understanding across a variety of learning areas.

Play comes in many forms and provides children with the opportunity to engage their imagination and creativity, follow their curiosities, test new ideas, and explore different ways of thinking. Through play, children challenge their understanding, make adjustments, and acquire new knowledge and skills. My role as an educator is to provide children with ample opportunities to engage in diverse forms of play, fostering their development in a way that is engaging and meaningful to them.

I believe in uninterrupted opportunities for social interactions, where children can learn through play and collaboration. By using the environment as the third teacher, I create stimulating and enriching spaces that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and deep engagement. I am passionate about nurturing each child’s unique interests and supporting their natural development through play-based learning and meaningful experiences.

I am an early childhood teacher as well as our centre’s Culture Champion. I firmly believe that children are the future, and as educators, we have a vital role in fostering their creativity, uniqueness, and potential.

Each child is born with a purpose, and I am passionate about creating a nurturing and safe environment that supports their holistic development. My goal is to cultivate a space where children feel valued, seen, and encouraged to explore the world around them. By providing opportunities for play, self-expression, and hands-on learning, I strive to lay the foundations for their future, empowering them to become confident individuals who positively contribute to the world.

I believe in celebrating every child’s individuality, guiding them to experience life through learning, play, and discovery. Inspired by the words of Nelson Mandela, “Our children are our greatest treasure. They are our future,” I am committed to ensuring that every child feels supported in becoming their best self.

I am working towards my Early Childhood Teaching qualification while holding my Diploma in Early Childhood Education. I am also proud to be one of our centre’s Culture Champions.

I believe that every child is a unique individual with unlimited potential. As an educator, my role is to create an environment where children can learn, explore, and grow in a way that is meaningful to them. My teaching is influenced by Jean Piaget’s theory of cognitive development, which highlights the importance of active exploration and problem-solving in constructing knowledge.

I provide children with hands-on learning opportunities, encouraging them to take the lead in their education while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Play is central to this process, as Piaget suggested that it fosters cognitive and social growth, allowing children to learn through real-life experiences.

Supporting children’s social and emotional development is a core value in my teaching. I create a safe, nurturing environment where children can build trusting relationships, regulate emotions, and develop social skills through cooperative experiences. As an educator, I am committed to ongoing reflection and growth, continuously learning and adapting to best support the children in my care.
