On Saturday the 3rd of March, we held our much-anticipated Grand Opening Day at Great Beginnings Hornsby.
Read on to find out about how we celebrated the opening of our brand new centre!
Activities on the Day
Here at Great Beginnings Hornsby, we were very lucky to have Paw Patrol to join us on the day. We were joined by Chase and Marshall for multiple meet and greet sessions. It’s no surprise that the children couldn’t control their excitement when taking photos with their heroes!
We had drumming sessions too, which were a big hit with children and families. It was great to see everyone come together and participate in the entertainment.
During the day, amazing balloon sculptures being created by talented balloon artists. The children were left in absolute awe as a result of their beautiful creations!
But the activities didn’t end there. In addition to this, we had Science Workshops to keep the children entertained all day long!
We didn’t want anyone to be leaving our centre hungry. So, we provided a Great Beginnings sample menu and BBQ that was served throughout the day!
Opening Ceremony Ribbon Cutting
We had a very special guest join us at the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Being the first family to enrol at our centre, we thought it was a nice touch to have Mrs Vanessa Jassi (Mum of Early Learner Sofi Jassi) with us. Mrs Jassi said “I was extremely impressed with the facilities. But more than that, I was blown away by the staff and the passion that exuded from them.”
At Great Beginnings Hornsby, we are passionate about education and giving your child the best start to their early learning journey.
From in-room demonstrations to large outdoor play spaces, there is something for every child!
The children loved exploring our all-weather outdoor area. Each of our play environments are designed to meet the developing needs of every child!

In Centre Manager Melissa Smart’s words “I am a strong believer in community involvement. At Great Beginnings Hornsby, the children will be actively involved in the local community. Parents will be encouraged to participate within the program, and we will work together in collaboration. By collectively supporting each individual child, we can help them reach their full potential.”
