We understand that sending your child to care can be a very difficult decision for some parents. It is common for parents to feel guilty about the decision and struggle with the concept. At Great Beginnings we are very aware of this and our friendly, caring educators support each and every child and family in their journey through early education.
The early years are an extremely important time in a person’s life that lays the foundations for the years that follow. Many personal, emotional, physical and intellectual milestones are achieved in these short few years and it is important that children are a part of a strong, stable, safe learning environment during this time.
All of our centres follow the Early Years Learning Framework and we ensure that each child gains the benefit of all five learning outcomes for children birth to five years:
- Outcome One: Children have a strong sense of identity
- Outcome Two: Children are connected with and contribute to their world
- Outcome Three: Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
- Outcome Four: Children are confident and involved learners
- Outcome Five: Children are effective communicators
These five learning outcomes are expansive and recognizable. Every child is unique and the learning outcomes allow for this to guide children in a variety of ways based on their capabilities and pace of learning. The curriculum is tailored to each child and is heavily influenced by the children’s interests. We believe in learning through play and instilling an enthusiasm for learning as well as intentional teaching through thoughtful, purposeful challenging experiences of children to nurture their high-level thinking ability.
Our educational programs are guided by the EYLF and also our individual centre philosophies. Please feel free to contact our Centre Managers today to learn more about each centre’s learning, developing and growing values. Find your closest centre!
