Watercolour paints are great way for children (and adults!) to experiment and create art. We used some household items to make cool invisible messages on paper and then used watercolour paints to watch the hidden messages appear! This is an excellent expression activity for children, as the artwork possibilities are endless.
- White paper
- Household candle
- Watercolour paint
- Place your paper on a flat surface
- Take your candle and draw a picture or write your name, you won’t be able to see it very well yet, but that will become your hidden message!
- Make sure your paints are a watery consistency; this will help your hidden message to stand out!
- Start painting over the wax and watch your hidden message appear!
